Fence Preservation

Plastic and wooden fences shall be maintained. Broken slats or rails must be repaired. Wooden fences may be painted, stained, urethaned, or left in a natural condition. Painted wooden fences may be white, black or the main color of the house. If a fence was previously painted and then left to weather so that it presents an untidy appearance, all paint must be removed. Stains shall be earth tones such as ocher, redwood, brown, etc. Urethanes can be used to preserve earth toned stains, may be urethanes containing stains in earth tones, or may be used to preserve the natural weathering of the fence.
